[EKIMEEZA BREAKING NEWS] – The beautiful Queen Mother of Tooro, Best Kemigisa has been arrested in the US.

According to our intelligence sources, Kemigisa was detained a few days ago on arrival in the US after being found in possession of fake dollars.
“Her passport was confiscated and she is being questioned by the authorities to help in establishing the source of the money,” the source said.

When contacted for a comment yesterday, the head of the ruling clan (Babiito) in Tooro Kingdom (locally known as the Musuuga), Charles Kamurasi told Red Pepper that the Queen had travelled to the USA through the United Kingdom but was not aware of the arrest saga.

“Yes it’s true the Queen travelled to the USA through UK a few weeks ago but she is scheduled to return to the Kingdom next week,” Kamurasi said.
However, according to our intelligence sources, Kemigisa’s passport was confiscated shortly after landing in the land of Obama. She was handed over to the authorities to help police in investigating the circumstances under which she came to be in possession of the counterfeits.

Intelligence had established that there had been a deal of up to USD 5m that was masterminded by some Ugandans in Kampala. But information leaked after one Ibra who was used to execute the deal tipped off the authorities.
The Ugandan authorities and US Embassy got wind of the information and developed interest. This prompted security to begin investigations under
The arrest, intelligence sources say was based on a US Embassy security report to the Foreign Service and immigration about the matter.
Kemigisa had travelled to the US to make final touches to her daughter, Princess Ruth Nsemere Komuntale’s wedding scheduled for July 12, 2012 in Fort Portal.
Now we have established that the wedding hangs in balance due to the scandal but efforts are being made to have the Queen released for the planned magnificent royal wedding estimated to cost atleast Shs 1.8bn.
According to our palace sources, Tooro elders held a meeting early this week and agreed to petition President Yoweri Museveni to invoke the powers that be and have the Queen released by the US authorities in time for the wedding. The meeting was chaired by the chairperson of Tooro elders Isingoma Kimome.
The Council of Elders unanimously agreed that it would be a huge embarrassment if the Queen mother remains incarcerated in America. “They agreed to petition Museveni to intervene in the matter,” the source said.
Princess Ruth Komuntale will on July 12, 2012 introduce and wed her long-time American fiancé, Thomas Christopher.
The function will take place at her uncle Omusuuga Charles Kamurasi’s residence in Gweri, on Kamwenge Road, 4 miles from Fort Portal town. The wedding is set for July 14, 2012 at St. John’s Cathedral in Fort Portal.
President Museveni is one of the high-ranking guests expected to attend, alongside friends of the kingdom.

The couple will be blessed by the Anglican Bishop of Rwenzori Diocese, Reuben B. Kisembo. Palace sources have also said that Madhvani group has already contributed Shs10m towards the do. The Shs1.8bn budget will cater for the introduction ceremony and wedding reception.
